Once an agreed upon start date is settled, therapy sessions will occur on a regular basis, lasting up to 50 minutes each time.
I offer therapy sessions on face to face on an individual basis, by telephone, or via Skype depending on your preference and what is agreed between us.
I am committed to keeping all appointments and I request the same of my clients.
The structure of your therapy
During our first session, we will discuss issues you feel are causing you difficulty in your life at present and explore what you hope to achieve from counselling. I will explain the way in which I work, and it is at this point you decide whether integrative counselling is for you and whether you would like to work together.
On subsequent sessions, you will decide on what you wish to discuss and which issues take priority for you. Once we have built a strong therapeutic relationship and trust is established, we will then begin the majority of our work together.
Together we will uncover the root cause of your problems and explore the potential for change.
In most instances, I would expect an initial course of therapeutic work to be undertaken for at least six weeks, followed by a review on a six-weekly basis. You may feel that six weeks is enough time for you, however you may feel you need more time than this.
I offer open ended or short-term work depending on your needs.
- Individual sessions: £40 (each session lasts 50 minutes)
Reduced fees are available for students and those on low income or living on benefits, based on the individual’s circumstances. Payment can be made either by cash, cheque or via PayPal.
If you need to cancel your therapy session, the following fees may apply depending on the time of cancellation:
- 48 hours notice or more: No charge
- Less than 24 hours notice: £20
- None attendance: Full session fee due
