What will it be like for me?
Once you are happy and comfortable in your choice of working with me, you may feel an immediate sense of relief.
This is because for the first time, you are being listened to.
For the first time, someone is concerned with your well-being and will not be there to judge you.
However, you may also feel more anxious or distressed once we commence, as you will be facing difficult feelings you would prefer to ignore.
At this point, you may feel worse before you begin to feel better. Please do not be afraid to share with me how your therapy is making you feel. It is all part of the process.
By working together and building a strong therapeutic relationship based on empathy, trust and mutual respect, you will be well equipped to make those changes and improve life for yourself.
